Mom: You think I can return these grapes if I tell them I didn't know they had seeds.
Me: Just tell them they're spoiled.
Mom: No! I'm not going to lie.
Me: Give them to someone who likes seeded grapes. Heck, I'll eat them!
Mom: Well I have heard that a seeded grape is more beneficial.
Me: Well that would make sense since all fruits are supposed to have seeds! The fruit itself serves to nourish the seed.
Seedless Grapes? Say what!? It's nothing revolutionary. I myself have eaten countless of seedless objects: limes, grapes, watermelon, oranges. But the question remains: is a seedless grape natural? Answer. Yes and no. One proccess used to produce seedless grapes is taking a vine clipping and re-planting it. The grapes that grow from this vine are genetically different. They have a code that causes an error in seed production. Rather than containing a normally shelled seed, these grapes produce soft undeveloped seeds [evidence]. It is however, wrong to say that this process is unnatural. Nature isn't perfect. Mutations are a natural occurrence. Even though humans take the vine and re-plant it, who's to say nature can't do the same? Afterall, the fruit isn't made out of man-made materials. A normal grape should have seeds. But to say that a seedless grape isn’t a fruit would be like saying a sterile human isn’t a human. The same, however, is not true for all seedless fruits [evidence]. Unfortunately, fruits like tomatoes can be genetically modified with chemicals so that no seed develops. Doesn't sound natural to me :S . Yes, seeds can be a nuisance but my advice...stick to the seed.
